ABOUT THE ROLE
Patient Pro Marketing is a healthcare-focused digital marketing agency helping clinics grow through targeted patient acquisition. We are looking for a senior Account Manager ready to step into a team lead capacity — someone who can own a portfolio of high-value clinic accounts while supporting and developing the accountmanagement team around them.
In addition to the client-facing work expected of a senior AM, you will coach team members, establish processes, serve as an escalation point, and work closely with leadership to improve how the team operates at scale. This is the right role for someone ready to move beyond individual contribution and help build something.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Team Leadership & Management
- Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers through structured 1:1s, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback
- Serve as the first escalation point for complex client issues, difficult conversations, or internal performance concerns
- Onboard new Account Managers and ensure consistent ramp-up through documentation and mentorship
- Identify skill gaps, create targeted development plans, and track progress over time
- Set clear performance expectations, hold team members accountable to KPIs, and recognize strong performance
- Report team-wide metrics to leadership with actionable recommendations
Client Portfolio Ownership
- Maintain a direct book of strategic or high-priority clinic accounts as a player-coach
- Lead executive-level client relationships and quarterly business reviews for top-tier accounts
- Model best-in-class account management behaviors for the rest of the team
- Step in to support team members on at-risk or high-complexity accounts as needed
Process & Operations
- Own and continuously improve the team's onboarding, check-in, and retention playbooks
- Partner with the call center manager and marketing ops on cross-functional improvements
- Track team-wide KPIs — show rates, renewal rates, and churn — and drive accountability
- Identify tooling and workflow improvements in GoHighLevel, Notion, and Google Sheets
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Represent the account management team in leadership and cross-departmental meetings
- Translate client feedback and trends into actionable product or service improvements
- Partner with sales on handoff quality and alignment between client expectations and delivery
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 5+ years in account management, client success, or a senior client-facing role
- 2–4 years of direct people management experience — formally leading, evaluating, and developing a team
- Demonstrated ability to drive team performance through coaching, accountability, and process
Improvement
- Experience setting and managing KPIs at both the individual and team level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to clients and leadership
- Proven track record owning retention metrics and using data to identify risk and opportunity
- Proficiency with CRM platforms — GoHighLevel preferred — and tools like Notion and Google Sheets
Preferred
- Background in healthcare, wellness, or medical marketing
- Prior experience at a marketing or lead generation agency
- Experience working across sales, operations, and client delivery
- Comfort hiring, onboarding, and scaling a team from an early stage
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
- Team-wide client renewal rate of 80% or higher per quarter
- Average show rate across all managed accounts above 45%
- Account Managers on the team are hitting individual targets and growing in their roles
- Onboarding and retention playbooks are documented, followed, and continuously improved
- Escalations are resolved quickly with minimal disruption to client relationships
- Each direct report has an active, documented growth plan
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Employee assistance program
- Paid time off
