Italian Freelance Writer

Responsibilities

• Write engaging content about Italian cuisine, menu offerings, and dining experiences
• Develop descriptions for menu items, including pasta, pizza, appetizers, and desserts
• Create website copy, blog articles, and restaurant feature content
• Prepare promotional content for seasonal menus, special events, and dining offers
• Write social media captions and other digital marketing materials
• Research Italian culinary traditions, ingredients, and food culture
• Adapt writing style to match the restaurant's brand voice and target audience
• Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy
• Collaborate with restaurant management or marketing staff to gather information
• Incorporate feedback and complete revisions within agreed deadlines

Requirements

• Previous freelance writing, copywriting, content creation, or editorial experience preferred
• Excellent written English and strong grammar skills
• Interest in Italian cuisine, hospitality, food culture, or restaurant marketing
• Ability to write clear, engaging, and audience-focused content
• Strong research, editing, and proofreading abilities
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage independent assignments
• Familiarity with website content management systems and social media platforms is an advantage
• Italian language skills or knowledge of Italian culinary terminology is a plus
