Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of the @GoDaddyNews Instagram channel, including publishing support (captions, hashtags, alt text, tagging) and basic scheduling with oversight.
  • Monitor social trends and platform moments relevant to an 18–34 audience; bring weekly ideas for Reels, Stories, carousels, and interactive stickers (polls, quizzes, Q&As).
  • Execute community engagement tasks under guidance (responding to comments, identifying relevant accounts to follow, and proposing meaningful engagements) while following an approved engagement playbook.
  • Assist with content development: research, drafting short-form copy, selecting existing brand-approved assets, and creating simple content briefs for designers or editors.
  • Track performance and compile weekly snapshots (follower growth, reach/impressions, engagements, top posts, and learnings) with clear takeaways and next-step recommendations.
  • Collaborate with PR teammates and cross-functional partners (brand, social, legal, customer care) to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned to channel goals.
  • Follow publishing and governance guidelines (brand voice, privacy, accessibility, disclosures, and information security) and escalate sensitive community issues to the PR lead.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience/portfolio).
  • Demonstrated interest in social media and creator/internet culture; familiarity with Instagram formats (Reels, Stories, carousels) and what drives engagement.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for short-form copy (captions, headlines, on-screen text) with attention to tone and accuracy.
  • Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely (organized, responsive, and able to manage deadlines across time zones).

Preferred

  • Prior experience managing a social account (school org, internship, personal project, or creator work) and/or a portfolio of content you can share.
  • Experience with social publishing and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite) and comfort pulling basic performance metrics.
  • Basic design/video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and familiarity with accessibility best practices (captions, alt text).
  • Interest in entrepreneurship, small business, technology news, or brand storytelling.
