Job Summary

Support the internal comms engine by producing intranet content, newsletters, event materials, and social updates while coordinating calendars and cross‑functional campaigns.

  • Own content production for intranet and newsletters, including interviews and multimedia.
  • Coordinate events, town halls, safety campaigns, and social updates with multiple teams.
  • Track and share simple metrics on social, PR, and web presence to guide branding and internal communications.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with collecting, editing, and publishing internal employee-centric tot company Intranet (housed on SharePoint). This may include video, photo galleries, and written content
  • Assist with planning communications for company events, and/or event day-of coordination
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders of all levels (including C Suite) for intranet and newsletter content
  • Help with planning and creation of monthly internal newsletter
  • Help internal communications campaigns and initiatives; including designing and sending company-wide corporate updates and newsletters
  • Help Corporate Communications & PR Specialist with maintenance and planning of annual calendars for internal comms, social media, and intranet content
  • Support Corporate Communications & PR Specialist with annual Safety Campaign in partnership with Safety and Training teams (including SharePoint content, videos, emails, etc.)
  • Assist with corporate philanthropy donations, drives, and events
  • Help with quarterly town halls and other livestreamed events as needed
  • Take photos at company events as needed

Requirements

  • Completed or working toward a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or English (junior level and above)
  • Firm understanding of social media tools and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Canva, PoliteMail, and/or AirTable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Entry level understanding of basic principles of PR and internal communications
  • Able to work well independently (self-starter) and with a team
  • Bilingual (written and spoken) proficiency in English and Spanish preferred but not required

Preferred

  • Previous communications/PR internship experience a plus
  • Knowledge of WordPress, SEO, HubSpot, and HTML a plus
  • Willing to work in hybrid environment (class schedule permitting, minimum of 2 days per week in-office)
