Job Summary

Own intake to enrollment flow and manage farm support paths with cross-team collaboration and a focus on program compliance and outcome tracking.

  • Own the intake-to-enrollment flow and determine service paths for farmer participants.
  • Coordinate Business Development and Planning support across branding, marketing, market access, food safety, and post-harvest needs.
  • Track and manage farmer progress with defined systems, ensuring clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and timely follow-up.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Intake Coordinator will initiate and determine a service path for farmers who apply for technical assistance and business development funds. Determinations will include consideration of multiple participation stipends for eligible enrollment options.
  • Lead the Business Development and Planning support requests from farms, including advising on: business development and other financial planning; brand building and marketing; market access and expansion planning; food safety protocols and certifications; other specialized support, such as post-harvest handling and storage logistics.
  • Farmers and projects will be closely tracked using predetermined systems and stewarded with care and attention to detail. Including:
  • Clear and open communication
  • Provide pragmatic guidance and feedback that centers farmers' visions
  • Relationship management
  • Resource allocation tracking and follow-up
  • Identifying and clearing stuck points
  • Work closely with internal program area leads to move farmers through the service application and enrollment process
  • Adhere to contract parameters and stipulations
  • Ensure information is available and clearly understood across internal and external stakeholders
  • Process focused, embracing change and adapting to meet farmers' and staff members' needs amidst an evolving, dynamic process
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools and systems

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of multiple Business Development areas

  • Food Safety, Certification, and Planning
  • Other Wash/Pack Station and Post-Harvest Handling Cooling, Storage, and Logistics
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in project management & technical assistance experience
  • Firsthand experience farming or working with farmers
  • Strong communication skills to help farmers realize the full potential of their project
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Monday, and/or similar project management and database management tools
  • Commitment to the principles of anti-oppression
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on different timelines
  • Detail oriented
  • Preferred qualifications: Sales or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of USDA programs and services
