Responsibilities

The multimedia communications specialist in the College of Communication and Information (CCI) will have artistic freedom to shape the college’s video presence and lead end-to-end production—from storyboarding and scripting to shooting, editing, captioning, and final delivery—creating compelling content for the web, social media, events, and leadership presentations.

Arrange and direct photo shoots.
Lead the creation of storyboards and scripts for video production.
Manage and produce high quality and impactful video projects for internal and external use (presentations, website, social media and events).
Lead and manage post-production work including editing captioning and branding.
Produce compelling photography to enhance written content, website and social media to extend visual brand identity.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s in film/video production, graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field
Experience : Minimum of two-three years of professional experience in videography, graphic design, communications, marketing, or public relations setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of A/V and lighting equipment functionality and set-up
Skill in video production, filming, and editing multimedia content
Knowledge of shooting video in various settings
Knowledge of editing video/audio recordings and adjusting them in post-production
Ability to follow technical requirements, accessibility guidelines, and best practices for web and social multimedia content
Skill operating computers, cameras, and photography/video recording equipment
Skill in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
Skill in WordPress and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram)

Preferred

Preferred Qualifications Minimum of three-five years of experience in videography, graphic design, communications, marketing, or public relations settings.
Experience with multimedia communications at an institution of higher education, government agency, or company is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Advanced knowledge of shooting video in various settings
Advanced knowledge of editing video and audio recordings and adjusting them in post-production
Ability to follow technical requirements, accessibility guidelines and best practices in the creation of multimedia content for websites and social media
Excellent skills operating computer, photography and video equipment including cameras and recording devices
