Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Our Marketing Consultant is in the community everyday promoting our company and our hospice services.
  • They will be out in the healthcare community developing as many relationships as possible with the intent to obtain hospice referrals.
  • They establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
  • They build and monitor community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care as a high-quality provider of services.
  • They are driven and focused, understand and adhere to all laws, statutes and regulations regarding anti-kickback, lawful marketing activities (gifts and services), patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.
  • They truly believe in the services we provide and have compassion and understanding for our patients and their families.
  • The role is focused on developing relationships with people who have a vested interest in their patients. Our Hospice Liaisons are genuine and sincere about their work.
  • They maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and share information with appropriate organization personnel.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assist customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care.
  • Monitor and report cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Attend Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and other meetings and in-services related to promoting Oasis Hospice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least (1) year experience in Hospice Care Operations preferred and Business Development within the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Demonstrate good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • A track record of success.
  • We prefer someone with established relationships in the healthcare community with a focus on hospice or home health.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state of Illinois requirements and is in good working order.
