Job Summary

Own and execute the Mission Belt marketing strategy focusing on profitable DTC growth, acquisition and retention, and cross-functional product launches.

  • Collaborate with sourcing, design, and manufacturing to bring products to market.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall marketing strategy for Mission Belt, with an emphasis on profitable direct-to-consumer growth.
  • Develop and execute customer acquisition, retention, promotional, and product-launch strategies.
  • Manage and optimize key DTC channels, including paid social, paid search, email/SMS, organic social, and website merchandising.
  • Use performance data to understand what’s working, identify opportunities, and continually improve marketing efficiency.
  • Build a strong promotional and marketing calendar around launches, holidays, seasonal moments, and key brand initiatives.
  • Work closely with creative resources to develop advertising, photography, video, landing pages, email campaigns, and other customer-facing assets.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer behavior, competitive activity, and trends within the consumer marketplace.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, designs, colors, materials, bundles, and extensions of the Mission Belt brand.
  • Work cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, design, and manufacturing partners to bring products to market.
  • Develop positioning, pricing, merchandising, packaging, and launch strategies for new products.

Requirements

  • Meaningful DTC/e-commerce experience is required. You should understand how a digitally native consumer business actually operates and grows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or contributing significantly to customer acquisition and retention.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and the economics behind DTC growth, including CAC, ROAS/MER, conversion rate, AOV, LTV, and contribution margin.
  • Experience launching and marketing physical consumer products.
  • Strong product instincts and an ability to recognize what customers will actually want to buy.
  • Analytical enough to make decisions from data and creative enough to develop ideas that stand out.
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to move multiple initiatives forward simultaneously.
  • Comfortable taking ownership instead of waiting for detailed direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel periodically for trade shows, vendor meetings, and other business needs.
