Job Description

At ProService Hawaii, we’re building the systems and intelligence layer that powers a modern, AI-driven go-to-market motion — and we’re hiring our first Growth Engineer to lead the build. We’re Hawaii’s largest HR solutions provider, serving more than 3,000 local businesses and 50,000 employees statewide, and we’ve been recognized as one of Hawaii's Best Places to Work for 20 consecutive years. The work we do matters to real businesses and real people across the islands — and the systems this role builds will shape how we grow.
As a Growth Engineer, we're looking for a hands-on individual contributor who treats growth as an engineering problem. This is not a marketing-ops seat and it's not a slide-deck role. You'll design, build, and operationalize the systems that capture demand, qualify and route leads, run experiments, and compound our acquisition and expansion motion across a B2B customer base.
You know growth — the channels, the funnel math, the attribution headaches — but your core competency is building. You'll use AI-assisted development (primarily Claude Code) to go from a growth hypothesis to a shipped, instrumented, production system in weeks, not quarters. The systems you stand up become the foundation the rest of the growth org runs on.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
  • Build growth systems end-to-end. Scope the problem, lead development with AI-assisted tooling (Claude Code and similar), validate output, instrument it, and ship to production. Examples: lead scoring and routing, automated experimentation harnesses, landing-page and content generation pipelines, attribution and funnel-tracking infrastructure, lifecycle and CRM automation.
  • Operationalize AI into the growth motion. Identify where AI meaningfully changes the unit economics — personalization, content velocity, qualification, enrichment, agentic workflows — then build, evaluate, and harden those systems so they run reliably without you babysitting them.
  • Own the funnel as a measurable system. Tie what you build to real growth and efficiency targets — new ARR, qualified-lead volume, conversion rate, CAC, LTV:CAC, ROAS, payback period — and stand up the lead-indicator metrics that tell you week-to-week whether you're winning.
  • Navigate the data and systems landscape. Understand where data lives (Snowflake, Hubspot, Sales Force, ad platforms, internal databases), how it integrates, and how to design tools that survive real-world messiness — including reconciling conflicting sources of truth and building defensible attribution.
  • Run experiments with rigor. Generate hypotheses, build the infrastructure to test them, read the results honestly (incrementality, diminishing returns, cannibalization), and kill or scale based on data.
  • Shape how we operate. This is a new kind of role on a fast-growing team. You'll help define how growth engineering builds, tests, documents, and maintains systems as the practice scales.
IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?
We believe the next generation of growth leverage comes from people who can both reason about CAC/LTV and write the code that moves it. If you've spent time at a startup wearing the growth hat and the engineering hat — instrumenting funnels, wiring up data pipelines, automating the manual stuff, prototyping with whatever tool gets you to a result fastest — this role is built for you.
We operate with extremely fast iteration cycles and believe in showing, not telling. You'll build something, ship it, watch real numbers move, and iterate.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
We're looking for a systems thinker with high agency and genuine GTM instincts — someone who breaks problems into composable, reusable parts, anticipates downstream implications, and doesn't leave technical debt for someone else to unwind. Prior experience owning AI and automation workflows end to end — not just contributing to or consuming them — is required.
Ideally you bring SQL and light Python or TypeScript for integration prototyping, hands-on experience with advertising platforms like LinkedIn, Google, or Meta, familiarity with agent frameworks for multi-step AI workflows, and a background in B2B SaaS, PEO/HR services, or selling into businesses where a traditional web presence is less established. Roots in Hawaii's business community or experience selling to local employers is a plus.
Here's What a Strong Fit Looks Like
  • Startup-forged. You've operated in a small, fast, ambiguous environment where you owned outcomes, not just tasks — ideally across multiple phases of a growth journey.
  • Engineer first, growth-native. You ship production code and build systems as your core competency, and you understand growth deeply enough to know what's worth building. SQL and a working language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) are table stakes; system design and data modeling are second nature.
  • Fluent in growth math. You speak CAC, LTV:CAC, ROAS, payback, and funnel conversion fluently, and you balance top-line growth against efficiency constraints without being told to.
  • An AI builder, not just an AI user. You're energized by AI-assisted development and have a point of view on where it creates real leverage. Writing a prompt and seeing a working system on screen is the part of the job you'd do for free.
WORK LOCATION
