Job Summary

Own and scale the grassroots footprint in Minnesota by building youth hockey partnerships, delivering clinic and school programs, and turning community events into fans and players growth.

  • Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with youth associations, schools, community centers, and civic groups.
  • Grassroots Program Delivery: Plan and execute clinics, learn-to-skate, school visits, and fan engagement at events.
  • Impact & Reporting: Track participation, partnerships, and engagement metrics and report to VP.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local youth hockey associations, schools, community centers, and civic organizations
  • Represent the Minnesota Frost at rinks, community events, schools, and public activations
  • Serve as a visible and accessible ambassador for the team and the PWHL in the local market
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute grassroots events including youth clinics, learn-to-skate programs, school visits, and fan engagement activities
  • Partner with the team's marketing and game operations staff to support in-game community programming
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow the game at the youth and recreational level
  • Track program participation, partnership activity, and community engagement metrics
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to the VP, Team Operations and Grassroots Initiatives
  • Manage event logistics, scheduling, and vendor or partner coordination as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in community relations, sports programming, youth development, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and public-facing communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse community stakeholders
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfort working evenings, weekends, and irregular hours in alignment with the game and event schedule
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

  • Background in hockey, skating, or other ice sports
  • Experience working in or with professional or collegiate sports organizations
  • Familiarity with the Twin Cities community and existing relationships in the local hockey ecosystem
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
