We specialize in essential business printing, direct mail marketing, promotional products, and private print ordering sites. We make it easier for our customers to promote themselves and get things done through quality work, personalized service, attention to detail, and by developing strong, lasting relationships.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, organized Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator to help turn marketing ideas into completed projects. Working directly with the company owner, this person will design materials for South City Print and our customers, with particular emphasis on direct mail, and help coordinate marketing campaigns from concept through completion. Initially, the owner will provide much of the strategy and primary copywriting; the coordinator will manage creative execution and project details. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented recent graduate or early-career professional who wants to develop their graphic design and marketing skills while taking on increasing responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Creative Services

· Design postcards, letters, self-mailers, newsletters, brochures, booklets, flyers, and other print and digital marketing materials for South City Print and customers.

· Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork, manage revisions, and maintain brand consistency.

Marketing & Direct Mail Coordination

· Help implement direct mail and email campaigns, coordinating design, mailing lists, timelines, production, and follow-up with internal staff.

· Support customer communications, our Printspiration newsletter, and the marketing calendar; organize campaign activity and assist with tracking results.

· As experience grows, contribute campaign ideas, messaging, and process improvements.

Customer Support & Special Projects

· Assist customers with marketing-related design projects and prepare mockups, samples, and presentations for prospective customers.

· Collaborate with customer service and production; support PlanProphet marketing activities, Private Print Ordering Sites, email templates, website updates, and other related projects.

· Use appropriate digital and AI tools to improve creative work and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

· Strong design portfolio and proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

· Excellent organization, attention to detail, communication, initiative, and follow-through.

· Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, collaborate with a small team, and learn new technology.

Preferred, Not Required

· Training or degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related field; one to three years of relevant experience (talented recent graduates welcome).

· Commercial print production, direct mail, email marketing, CRM, or basic copywriting experience.

Schedule, Compensation & Application

On-site in Charlotte; Monday–Thursday, eight hours per day, and Friday, seven hours (39 hours weekly). Annual salary: $45,000–$47,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position reports to the company owner. Work Location: In Person.
