  • Standout: Manage speaker pipeline from submission to confirmation with high-quality content frameworks.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and producers across trade, consumer, and news media
  • Identify and pitch timely story angles relevant to FI's work and upcoming milestones
  • Secure placements in relevant publications and news outlets
  • Draft and distribute press releases as needed
  • Research, identify, and submit speaker proposals on Dr. Schwager's behalf across childcare, domestic staffing, child development, and family office/wealth management conferences
  • Develop speaker one-sheets, abstracts, and supporting materials
  • Manage the speaker pipeline from submission through confirmation
  • Place bylined articles and expert commentary in industry and mainstream publications
  • Identify award nominations and editorial recognition opportunities within relevant professional communities
  • Support the development of op-eds and contributed content

Requirements

  • 5+ years in PR, communications, or media relations — agency or in-house
  • Demonstrated success securing press placements, speaking engagements, and publication bylines for a founder or expert voice
  • Strong writing and editorial instincts; able to develop content as well as place it
  • Experience positioning a professional services brand within a niche industry
  • Comfortable working directly with a founder; able to protect and advance an established voice and brand identity

Preferred

  • Media contacts in relevant verticals — childcare, family, HNW lifestyle, professional development — are a plus
