Job Summary

Shape the voice and narrative for a mission-driven animal welfare initiative by delivering social and brand storytelling across platforms, coordinating founder–level storytelling, and maintaining a consistent visual identity to grow audience engagement.

  • Own social and brand execution across key platforms to drive awareness, fundraising visibility, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with leadership on storytelling strategy and audience engagement to translate impact into action.
  • Track engagement metrics and content performance to inform ongoing campaigns and launches.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute social and brand strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and related platforms
  • Create and publish content including graphics, captions, stories, short-form video, and campaign materials
  • Help document founder journey, shelter visits, meetings, pilot development, and organizational milestones
  • Collaborate closely with leadership on storytelling and audience engagement
  • Maintain consistency in visual identity, tone, and messaging
  • Track engagement and growth metrics across platforms
  • Support launch campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and partnership visibility

Requirements

  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
  • Able to take direction and execute independently
  • Organized, collaborative, and adaptable
  • Impact is your passion. Mission-driven work, animal welfare, and social impact are important to you.
  • Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, or equivalent tools
  • Photography/video editing experience
  • NYC or Hudson Valley connected

Preferred

  • Experience helping grow a startup, founder-led brand, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
  • Experience supporting early-stage growth or audience development
  • Individuals who find themselves needing to resist petting every dog they see. Animal enthusiasts required.
