Job Description
Responsibilities
- Drive media relations and support the broader external communications strategy for CIB’s Banking division (corporate banking, investment banking, M&A, equity capital markets, investment grade debt capital markets, and leveraged finance)
- Identify timely, insight-driven media and external communications opportunities aligned to strategy
- Advise senior leaders on media engagement and positioning
- Build and manage strategic media relationships across top-tier financial outlets
- Develop briefing materials for interviews, speaking engagements, and external visibility opportunities
- Media and speaker train senior leaders and prepare them for interviews
- Produce weekly media reports and deliver clear outcomes, ideas and insights to senior leadership
- Conduct research to support executives’ internal and external speaking engagements
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities at key industry conferences
- Manage media-driven award submissions and related programs, coordinating with business partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience developing proactive media strategies for investment banking, asset management, private equity, and B2B financial services clients
Preferred
- Experience identifying news trends and developing media pitches aligned to business strategy
- Experience researching conferences and securing executive speaking opportunities
- Experience drafting award nominations and coordinating large-scale awards programs
- Experience writing messages, talking points, and speeches for business leaders
