Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As an Events Coordinator, you will manage, plan, and execute events while supporting the marketing and communications team for the Central Texas region.
  • Focus on ensuring smooth event operations, providing top-notch client and employee experience, and coordinating employee engagement initiatives.
  • Performs specialized event coordination activities for the marketing department to support LJA sectors in Central Texas Region
  • Organizes special events and employee engagement activities for the Central Texas Region, focusing on all entertainment logistics
  • Support all offices in the region with monthly engagement activities and internal charity and diversity groups
  • Managing timelines and deadlines to ensure timeliness of tasks prior to event
  • Creates event outlines, coordinating planned events from start to finish
  • Maintains records, tracking associations, chambers, sponsorships, and all events including the budget and organization of all functions with event updates to share region-wide on a regular basis
  • Position requires client, LJA PM/VP contact, and extensive vendor contact
  • Assists in the selection, ordering, and inventory of the promotional materials specific to each event
  • Works independently under specific objectives
  • Assists with the firm’s business development through client focus

Requirements

  • College Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of corporate experience, preferably in event planning
  • Computer skills required are proficiency in Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint. Training for our management and client relation software monday.com and Unanet CRM can be provided.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills are required
  • Sit for extended periods of time working on computer
  • Capability to lift up to 20 lbs. for event setup
  • Willingness to assist with event setup and tear-down, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel for conferences and events as needed
