Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute events including corporate gatherings, weddings, fundraisers, and other special occasions.
• Develop event marketing strategies to promote events effectively.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
• Manage budgets for each event, ensuring all expenses are tracked and accounted for.
• Coordinate catering services, including menu selection and dietary requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process and during events.
• Upsell additional services or products to enhance the guest experience.
• Collaborate with various teams including marketing, guest services, and hospitality staff to ensure seamless execution.
• Handle logistics such as setup, breakdown, and on-site management of events.
• Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and expectations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning or management is essential.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts.
• Experience in marketing events to drive attendance and engagement.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes related to event management.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Background in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred but not required.
• Experience in banquet service or catering is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies is a plus.
