About The Role…
The Email Marketing Associate is responsible for the development and execution of email, SMS and other targeted retention campaigns using our email deployment and internal workflow systems. This responsibility will be across multiple business units and the individual must be a logical thinker who is able to multi-task and works well under pressure and deadlines. This person must understand our target audience and be able to perform a thorough analysis of the results with the ability to plan future campaigns based on results. This role coordinates with internal IT teams, merchandising professionals, design team members, customer service, fulfillment, and internal marketing team to create efficient and profitable marketing strategies to drive overall improvements in customer retention. This person will have impeccable attention to detail, be able to perform independently, and adhere to deadlines.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
  • Create and deploy bulk and segment-specific emails blasts, as well as trigger emails, for multiple customer lists.
  • Assist with creation and deployment of SMS and retargeting as applicable for each business unit.
  • Work with email content providers within organization including merchandising, design, and IT to ensure on-time deployment of emails.
  • Provide insights as channel experts on how to optimize KPI’s and efficiencies through tools and/or customer communications following industry best practices.
  • Prioritize and execute new campaigns, tests and efficiencies for retention communications via email, SMS and retargeting.
  • Provide reporting and insights for all retention related promotional activity as assigned.
  • Participate in and manage retention team projects as assigned.
  • Make recommendations to continually improve performance by analyzing internal results, competitive data and industry trends.
  • Support marketing team and organization.
Core Competencies
  • Requires a bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing or Mathematics or related field) with prior experience in the direct marketing field.
  • 1+ year hands-on experience with an email program such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Listrak. (SFMC experience preferred)
  • Experience using HTML and CSS to enhance email design and functionality.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
  • Understands the need for meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, and knowledge of approval procedures.
  • Ability to learn new software and internal processes quickly.
  • Must have strong time management skills; flexible and responsive to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A curious nature with a desire to understand and master new email and retention marketing best practices.
  • Desire to continuously improve efficiencies via improved file health, personalization and customer journeys.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with team members, as well as other individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Analytically minded.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently, yet not afraid to ask questions or escalate issues as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. PBI, Jira and Confluence a plus.
