  • Own audience-building, personalization, QA, and data-driven optimization
  • Collaborate across Marketing Operations, Legal, Content, and partnerships to drive results

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead campaigns for our biggest moments. Plan and run email campaigns that drive registrations and participation for national championships, Endurance Exchange, other series and sanctioned events, plus membership drives, giving days and LA 2028 moments. Partner with Events, Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships, the Content team and the Growth & Lifecycle Manager from plan to results.
  • Own every newsletter. Plan, build and deploy the full portfolio, including the Membership, Club, Coaches, Age Group Team USA, Race Director and Foundation newsletters, and make each one worth opening. Maintain templates and modules within brand standards set with Creative Services.
  • Own required and compliance communications. Deploy legal, policy and compliance sends accurately and on deadline with the correct send classification. Partner with Legal on approvals and keep a clear record of what was sent, to whom and when.
  • Own the calendar and every send. Manage the email calendar in line with Marketing Operations’ campaign calendar, planning ahead of renewals, championships, registration deadlines, giving days and the Olympic and Paralympic calendar. Build and deploy in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with QA built into every send through checklists, test sends and peer review.
  • Build and engage our audiences. Build audiences from Salesforce CRM and membership data, sharpen segmentation, and expand personalization with dynamic content and AMPscript. Grow opt-ins and win back lapsed subscribers.
  • Improve how we work. Document and strengthen workflows, templates and QA standards, and cut manual work as volume grows. When something goes wrong, fix it quickly, communicate clearly and update the process.
  • Write for the inbox. Turn stories from the Content team into email, with subject lines, preheaders and copy in the brand voice that get people to open and act.
  • Test and measure outcomes. Run ongoing A/B tests on subject lines, content, layout, send time and frequency, and roll winners into standards. Tie email to registrations, memberships, donations and purchases, feed Marketing Operations dashboards, and turn results into recommendations.
  • Protect list health and governance. Set frequency rules, send priority and preference management. Monitor inbox placement, bounces, complaints and unsubscribes; manage authentication, suppression and list hygiene; and comply with CAN-SPAM, CASL, privacy requirements and USOPC, IOC and IPC rules, including Rule 40.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of hands-on email marketing, including at least 2 years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable platform.
  • A track record running a high-volume program accurately and on schedule, including campaigns tied to registration, sales or fundraising goals.
  • Experience with SQL, data extensions, AMPscript, dynamic content and CRM data, ideally Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud Connect.
  • Experience managing deliverability and list health, and measuring email’s impact on conversions and revenue through A/B testing.
  • Strong email copywriting skills; writing samples required.
  • Strong project management across multiple priorities and stakeholders in a lean environment.

Preferred

  • Preferred
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Administrator certification.
  • Email experience with a membership organization, nonprofit or sports property, including fundraising or sponsorship programs.
  • Experience with SMS or other audience channels, and familiarity with endurance or participation-based sport.

Benefits

  • Recognized by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee for our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we offer unlimited PTO, 100% employer-paid medical benefits, and a supportive culture that celebrates excellence and balance.
