Job Description

Job Summary

Paid media and ecommerce represent the largest single lever in our US marketing mix. We’re hiring an Ecommerce & Performance Marketing Manager to own that lever end-to-end - from hands-on-keyboard paid social buying across Meta and TikTok Ads, to overseeing our Amazon ads agency, to partnering with senior leadership on the catalog assortment powering every paid digital channel. This is a builder’s seat for a performance marketer who wants a multi-million-dollar budget, a portfolio of globally loved brands, and real influence on how a growing business spends and scales.

What will your role involve

Paid Social (hands-on-keyboard)

  • Plan, build, launch, and optimize paid social campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok Ads - you will be directly in the platforms, not just briefing an agency
  • Own full campaign strategy across campaign objectives, with a heavy emphasis on driving Amazon and retail-partner sell-through (both online and in store)
  • Develop and manage audience strategy, creative testing frameworks, and budget pacing
  • Given asmodee's distributed retail footprint, build measurement approaches that go beyond last-click. Conduct correlation analysis between paid media activity and retail/ecommerce sales lift to quantify impact in channels where a direct conversion funnel isn't available, and use those learnings to defend and reshape spend

Amazon & Retail Media

  • Manage and oversee our Amazon ads agency relationship - setting strategy, approving campaign architecture, pushing on ACOS/TACOS targets, and holding the agency accountable for performance
  • Act as the internal expert on Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP) and retail media across other key ecommerce partners
  • Partner with marketing leadership and the Sales team on Amazon/Mass retail priorities to ensure paid media is aligned with promotional plans, inventory, and sell-through lift targets - including contributing high level campaign plans to Mass sales pitches for priority titles

Catalog & Assortment Strategy

  • Work closely with the Director of Commercial Marketing to shape catalog assortment across all paid digital channels - which SKUs we lead with, how we prioritize new releases vs. evergreen titles, and how the mix evolves by platform and season
  • Bring a performance lens to assortment decisions: use ROAS, conversion, lift correlation, and margin data to inform what we put paid dollars behind
  • Keep a close eye on product detail pages, creative assets, and listings across ecommerce platforms through the lens of paid traffic performance. While you won't own PDPs directly, you'll spot conversion friction and optimization opportunities and partner with the right teams to get them addressed

Budget, Measurement & Reporting

  • Own a multi-million-dollar paid media budget across paid social, Amazon ads, and other retail media - including forecasting, pacing, and in-flight reallocation
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting cadences that make performance legible to the marketing team, sales leadership, and executives
  • Define and report against the core KPIs for all social and ecomm channels

Agency, Cross-Functional & Thought Leadership

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for paid media and Amazon/retail ads agencies — scoping work, and driving continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with brand, content, creative, sales, vendor relations, and ops teams to ensure paid plans are integrated, on-brand, commercially grounded, and aligned with the studios and publishers we distribute
  • Help evaluate and, where appropriate, support bringing paid media capabilities in-house over time as the function matures
  • Continuously evaluate the broader paid landscape and make the business case for where asmodee US should show up next - whether that's YouTube, programmatic video, Connected TV, Reddit, or emerging retail media networks. You should be opinionated about where incremental budget goes, pressure-test it with test-and-learn plans, and bring forward recommendations backed by audience fit, expected efficiency, and measurable learning goals.

What do you bring

  • Comfort owning a multi-million-dollar budget and making real-time reallocation decisions based on performance
  • Strong analytical chops: fluency in platform reporting, spreadsheets, and pulling a clear narrative out of messy data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - you can explain performance data to high level key stakeholders, the sales team, and a creative lead in the same week
  • You are curious, collaborative, and optimistic - you see opportunity in ambiguity and figure out a path forward. You hold yourself to a high bar of professionalism, you care about the brands you work on, and you bring fresh ideas, not just execution, to the team
  • Occasional travel required for trade shows and meetings ~5% of time
  • A remote candidate may also be required to travel regularly to HQ in Minnesota.

Education/Experience

  • 5–7 years in performance marketing, paid media, growth, or ecommerce roles, ideally with meaningful consumer or CPG experience
  • Hands-on paid social buying experience on Meta Ads and TikTok Ads (including TikTok Shop). You have personally built, launched, and optimized campaigns and can speak fluently to campaign strategy, audience strategy, creative testing, and sales correlation
  • Demonstrated experience managing an Amazon ads program, either directly in Amazon Advertising or by overseeing an agency, with a strong grasp of ACOS/TACOS, Amazon ad types and the Amazon retail flywheel

Not Required; but helpful

  • Experience in toys, games, entertainment, or hobby/enthusiast consumer categories
  • Exposure to and understanding of retail media beyond Amazon (e.g., Target/Roundel, Walmart Connect) or programmatic DSP
  • Experience evaluating or standing up in-house media capabilities that previously sat with an agency
  • Familiarity with YouTube Shopping and the broader social commerce landscape

Hesitant to apply because you don’t have all the experience or qualifications listed? Let us decide! The right candidate doesn’t always match up perfectly on paper. We believe that diverse perspectives and experiences bring fresh ideas and innovation to our team. If you’re passionate about this role and believe your unique background and skills could contribute to our mission, we’d love to hear from you!
