Director, Yield Operations

COMPENSATION RANGE: 100,000.00 - 125,000.00

Summary

The Director of Yield Operations will be responsible for developing and executing yield management strategies that maximize revenue, fill rates, CPMs, and inventory utilization across the company's portfolio of audio properties. This individual will serve as the central leader connecting Sales, Programmatic Operations, Publisher Success, Data Analytics, and Product teams to ensure inventory is monetized efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in digital advertising, programmatic marketplaces, audio advertising ecosystems, pricing strategy, inventory forecasting, and revenue optimization. They will leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities, improve operational processes, and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Yield Strategy & Revenue Optimization

  • Develop and execute comprehensive yield management strategies across podcast, streaming audio, and digital audio inventory.
  • Maximize revenue performance through dynamic pricing, inventory allocation, floor price optimization, and demand diversification.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including CPM, fill rate, eCPM, revenue per listening hour, sell-through rates, and inventory utilization.
  • Evaluate and optimize inventory distribution across direct sales, programmatic guaranteed, PMP, open exchange, and emerging demand channels.
  • Identify monetization opportunities for new inventory sources, formats, and audience segments.

Programmatic Marketplace Management

  • Oversee programmatic monetization strategy across SSPs, DSP partnerships, exchanges, and audio advertising platforms.
  • Analyze bid density, win rates, demand partner performance, and auction dynamics to improve yield outcomes.
  • Collaborate with demand-side partners to increase advertiser participation and improve marketplace liquidity.
  • Manage floor pricing strategies and auction mechanics to maximize yield while maintaining advertiser competitiveness.
  • Monitor marketplace trends and implement best practices to improve programmatic performance.

Forecasting & Inventory Management

  • Own inventory forecasting and capacity planning processes.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to align inventory availability with revenue objectives.
  • Develop predictive models to improve revenue forecasting accuracy and inventory utilization.
  • Monitor pacing and delivery to ensure optimal allocation of inventory across channels.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for inventory packaging, pricing, and allocation decisions.

Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide actionable yield insights.
  • Analyze audience consumption patterns, advertiser demand trends, and inventory performance.
  • Present revenue optimization opportunities and performance updates to executive leadership.
  • Develop operational KPIs and benchmarks to drive accountability across teams.
  • Identify revenue leakage and implement corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Entravision Sales, Supply and Finance teams.
  • Drive operational efficiency through workflow improvements, automation, and process standardization.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams on monetization-related platform enhancements.
  • Support publisher onboarding and inventory expansion initiatives with scalable monetization strategies.

Industry Leadership & Innovation

  • Stay current on trends in podcast advertising, streaming audio, programmatic audio, audience targeting, identity solutions, and measurement.
  • Evaluate emerging monetization technologies and partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve advertiser outcomes while maximizing publisher revenue.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and long-term revenue growth initiatives.

Required Education and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in digital advertising, programmatic advertising, revenue operations, yield management, or monetization.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Deep understanding of digital audio advertising ecosystems including podcasts, streaming audio, and programmatic audio.
  • Experience managing inventory optimization, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
  • Experience working with SSPs, DSPs, ad servers, and programmatic marketplaces.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable revenue growth through yield optimization initiatives.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience at a digital audio publisher, podcast network, audio ad network, DSP, SSP, or advertising technology company.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Triton Digital, AdsWizz, Megaphone, Acast, Spotify Audience Network, SoundStack, Magnite, or similar audio advertising technologies.
  • Experience with audience monetization, identity solutions, and first-party data strategies.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
