Job Description

Drive patient access and support programs for rare-disease therapies within a senior patient services function.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Head of Patient services to develop strategy and aligned tactics that support patients and families in navigating diagnosis and treatment burdens.
  • Develop patient assistance tools that maximize patient access to therapies; design and build patient support programs with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement promotional communication resources in alignment with brand positioning and patient services strategy.
  • Drive innovation and program enhancements that will optimize customer service and patient access to rare-disease therapies by identifying emerging opportunities.
  • Establish analytic rigor within patient services and support data-driven decision-making for the commercial business.
  • Travel as necessary with Patient Services Field Teams to visit accounts and assist in presentations about company’s reimbursement strategy and services; attend commercial and other relevant business-related meetings.
  • Build and develop productive working relationships with external service providers and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective and compliant implementation of financial assistance programs.
  • Engage with Patient Engagement Leads and Directors of Patient Access in gaining insights and providing clear direction in use of assets and customer support programs.
  • Facilitate exceptional cross functional collaboration with customer facing teams, marketing, specialty pharmacy and hub personnel.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements impacting marketing materials.
  • Strategic planning and execution skills including project/budget management and working effectively with external service partners.
  • Strong background in leading and managing people.
  • A true team player with the ability to work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and influence.
  • Strong executive presence, commanding respect through sound business judgment and clear decision-making
  • Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize with quality.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills, with ability to work collaboratively as a member of the Marketing team and individually.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse collaborative environment.

Preferred

  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • Understanding of the cell and gene therapy marketplace and the specific access support needs for patients with rare diseases preferred
