Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on the development and distribution of written, oral and electronic communication in order to proactively deliver the organization’s key messages to a wide variety of internal stakeholders, utilizing best practices for internal campaign development.
  • Strongly partners and collaborates with Human Resources to execute strategic and inspirational employee and leadership communications.
  • Strongly partners and collaborates with Human Resources to develop, directs and manages employer branding and marketing campaigns, including recruitment marketing.
  • Directs and manages digital marketing strategy for non-clinical initiatives.
  • Independently develops and manages relationships across the health system at all levels of leadership and team in order to execute on effective internal communications plans.
  • Leads the generation of significant internal story telling with the primary purpose of building understanding, buy-in and ambassadorship in the strategic direction of OU Health.
  • Develops/manages internal marketing campaigns that serve to create awareness and understanding about the system.
  • Manages issues/crises internally to protect and enhance the healthcare enterprise’s reputation among key stakeholders while coordinating and connecting communications across media relations and digital media (employees, leaders, board).
  • Partners with the Chief Marketing and Growth Officer and departmental leaders to develop and manage the implementation of CEO communications.
  • Develops, directs and manages an innovative and aggressive internal communications channel strategy.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in public relations, communications or journalism.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of leadership experience required and a diverse background of leading marketing efforts. An equivalent amount of education or experience may be substituted for minimum experience requirements.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to develop and manage a high-performance team focused on accountability and meeting and exceeding expectations. - This position requires problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multi-task. - Strategic, critical but creative thinker, strong business sense and community relations skills. - Ability to lead, create and work within cross-functional team environments. - Senior level marketing professional with a proven track record of success managing complex multi discipline service lines. - Knowledge and experience in negotiating communications with external stakeholders.
