Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage MECCC's social media strategy to strengthen visibility and reputation as a leading NCI‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Implement annual and quarterly social media strategy aligned with organizational objectives (patient acquisition, education, community outreach, provider recruitment, brand awareness).
  • Manage day-to-day social media publishing across platforms, including content calendar, copywriting, creative briefs, and scheduling
  • Maintain an editorial calendar and oversee content planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to create and curate accurate, accessible, evidence-based content (posts, carousels, short video/Reels, stories, live sessions) tailored to patient populations and platform best practices. Ensure accessibility (alt text, captioning, plain-language) and inclusive messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Maintain and update social media policy and platform governance; monitor sentiment, escalate negative issues per protocol, and ensure timely responses to comments.
  • Track performance metrics and analytics, e.g., engagement reach, follower growth, referral traffic, conversions, cost per acquisition. Prepare reports and recommendations to inform strategy.
  • Stay current on healthcare trends, social platform features, digital health regulations, and competitive activity.
  • Plan and execute academic, scientific, and institutional events including symposia, lectures, community outreach programs, donor events, and signature Cancer Center initiatives.
  • Oversee event marketing support in collaboration with Montefiore Einstein marketing: promotional timelines, program printing, social media coordination, and onsite materials.
  • Manage event budgets: create estimates, track expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, secure cost-effective services, and reconcile post-event financials.
