We manage the end-to-end process, from 3D spatial design to custom fabrication and live-event production. As we continue to scale our operations, we are seeking a strategic Director of Growth to lead our business development initiatives and expand our market presence.
The Role: We are seeking a highly experienced business development executive to focus on expanding our client portfolio. As the Director of Growth, your primary responsibility will be identifying strategic opportunities, leading competitive pitches, and securing high-value experiential projects with CMOs, VPs of Marketing, and Brand Directors. This role requires a strategic approach to client acquisition and relationship management, followed by a seamless transition of newly secured accounts to our Account Management and Production teams for execution.
Core Responsibilities & Scope
- Pursuit Strategy & Qualification: Partner closely with senior leadership to evaluate inbound opportunities and determine overall pursuit strategy, including resourcing, investment level, and competitive positioning.
- Business Development & RFP Management: Manage the full prospecting process, from initial credentials presentations to comprehensive RFP management, contract negotiation, and closing net-new business within the experiential marketing and live-event sectors.
- Strategic Pitching & Storytelling: Work hand in hand with Creative, Production, Design, and other internal roles to generate successful pitch proposals. Lead high-level pitch storytelling and presentation strategy, ensuring clarity of message and strategic rigor. Oversee pitch preparation, rehearsal strategy, and live Client presentations for assigned opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead post-pitch audits and performance analysis to identify learnings and continuous improvement opportunities to improve win rates and proposal effectiveness.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture long-lasting, strategic relationships with clients and key brand-side decision-makers to build a robust and actionable sales pipeline.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasting, and client communications utilizing CRM platforms (e.g., Monday.com, HubSpot, or similar).
- Revenue Generation: Achieve and consistently exceed quarterly and annual gross-profit targets.
Qualifications & Expertise:
- Industry Experience: 10+ years of proven business development experience strictly within the Experiential Marketing, live events, or custom fabrication industries.
- Client Network: An established professional network of direct brand contacts (CPG, Technology, Fashion, Automotive, Entertainment, etc.) and a proven ability to engage senior-level marketing executives.
- Sales Track Record: A documented history of closing complex, high-budget ($250k–$1M+) custom fabrication and experiential production contracts.
- CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing sales cycles, lead tracking, and pipeline forecasting through CRM tools such as Monday.com, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Financial Acumen: Deep financial understanding of experiential marketing projects, demonstrating the ability to accurately assess project viability, differentiate between top-line revenue and gross profit, and execute value-based selling strategies.
- Travel & Flexibility: Willingness and availability to travel nationwide for site inspections, client walk-throughs, and live show execution (including nights and weekends as required).
Location, Compensation & Benefits
- Location: Remote (US-based).
- Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000 USD base salary (Gross) (commensurate with experience and market location).
- Commission: Highly competitive, uncapped commission structure calculated on Gross Profit. Features a tiered retention model to incentivize continuous new business acquisition.
