Job Summary

Own MDPC’s public voice by shaping a cohesive, theology-aligned communications strategy and driving content across channels with senior-leadership visibility in mind.

  • Brand & Messaging: Build and govern the messaging framework, brand voice, and crisis communications that senior leaders rely on.
  • Platform & Talent Ops: Oversee websites, CMS, email, social, media, and vendor partners, while managing workflows and approvals.
  • Content Engine: Lead storytelling across worship, outreach, and congregational moments through print, digital, video, and campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities:\n- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with MDPC’s mission, vision, and ministry priorities.\n- Collaborate closely with pastors, ministry leaders, staff, and lay leaders to support ministry communication needs.\n- Ensure all communication platforms and channels are coordinated, timely, accurate, and mission-focused.\n- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership regarding messaging, public presence, crisis communication, and strategic communication planning.\n- Ensure consistency in branding, voice, tone, and theological alignment across all printed, digital, and spoken communications.\n- Lead and engage communication-related committees, councils, volunteers, and ministry partners when appropriate.\n- Oversee communication systems, workflows, and approval processes to ensure excellence and efficiency.\n- Exercise ownership and oversight of church communication platforms, databases, mobile applications, and communication tools.\n- Lead and oversee all creative communications efforts of the church, including website management, social media engagement, graphic design, creative storytelling through video, advertising, branding, and digital marketing that supports the mission and ministries of MDPC.\n- Content Creation & Storytelling: Support clergy and ministry leaders with church-wide announcements, special initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and sensitive communications.
