Job Description

Digital Product Marketing Manager — Product Delivery (Sponsor/Advisor)

We are seeking a Digital Product Marketing Manager to support product delivery for a consumer-facing retirement business, with a primary focus on the Sponsor/Advisor experience. This role partners closely with product, GTM, UX, and content to help design, build, test, and launch digital capabilities - ensuring the final experience is clear, accurate, and ready for real users.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of digital product development and go-to-market enablement, with responsibility for requirements of clarity, execution of coordination, UAT, and in-product communications.

Key responsibilities

Digital product development

  • Partner with product managers and delivery teams to translate roadmap items into market-ready experiences for Sponsor/Advisor users.
  • Contribute to product discovery and definition by clarifying user needs, mapping journeys, and shaping requirements to support adoption.
  • Help define acceptance criteria and “definition of done” from a customer and marketing readiness perspective (content, disclosures, help assets, and training materials).
  • Track dependencies across product delivery, content creation, UX, and compliance review to ensure release readiness.

Content & user experience collaboration

  • Work closely with UX design/research to ensure flows, IA, and language are intuitive and aligned to user expectations.
  • Partner with content strategists/writers to create and refine UI copy, help text, disclosures, FAQs, and supporting resources.
  • Ensure a consistent voice and experience across key touchpoints (web, portals, in-product modules, and supporting content).
  • Coordinate reviews and approvals (including legal/compliance as needed) to maintain accuracy in a regulated environment.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Lead or coordinate UAT planning and execution for releases impacting Sponsor/Advisor experiences.
  • Create test plans, test scripts, and scenario coverage aligned to real user journeys.
  • Validate functionality, copy, workflows, and edge cases; document defects and prioritize fixes with product and engineering.
  • Drive UAT sign-off and ensure launch readiness, including regression checks for high-impact areas.

In-experience communications & resources

  • Develop and implement in-product communications to support adoption (e.g., banners, modals, announcement tiles, tooltips, guided help, release notes).
  • Define what resources must be available at launch (FAQs, how-to guides, onboarding checklists, support handoffs).
  • Collaborate with channel owners on distribution and timing for communications that complement product releases.
  • Measure and iterate: partner with analytics teams to review engagement and behavioral signals; recommend improvements to content and experience.

What success looks like

  • Releases ship with complete, accurate, and user-ready experiences (including copy, help assets, and compliance-ready messaging).
  • UAT is predictable and effective issues are found early and triaged quickly.
  • Sponsor/Advisor journeys are clear and self-service-oriented, reducing confusion and support burden.
  • Product, UX, and content teams stay aligned on scope, dependencies, and launch readiness.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in digital product marketing, digital product management, UX/content collaboration, or product delivery roles.
  • Experience supporting digital product releases end-to-end (requirements → build → UAT → launch → iteration).
  • Strong ability to translate complex functionality into clear, user-friendly language.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating UAT and working with engineering/product teams to resolve defects.
  • Comfort working in regulated industries (financial services/retirement/insurance or similar) and coordinating review/approval workflows.

Skills (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Sponsor/Advisor user journeys in retirement, wealth, or benefits platforms.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, story writing, and backlog collaboration.
  • Proficiency with common tools (e.g., Jira, Figma, Grammarly, Teams, CoPilot, analytics dashboards).
  • Experience with in-app communication patterns and content governance.
