Job Summary

Own social content and audience engagement for the Lumberjacks by producing real-time game day content, scheduling posts, and crafting voice-aligned copy across platforms while keeping assets organized and campaigns cohesive.

  • Content ownership: create and schedule posts, write copy in team voice, and ensure consistency across channels.
  • Campaign & assetOps: develop social campaigns around games and events and maintain a clean digital asset library.
  • Trend-driven engagement: monitor trends and spot opportunities to boost audience interaction during home and away games.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating, scheduling and executing content across all Muskegon Lumberjacks social media platforms
  • Help develop and implement creative social media campaigns to promote games, promotions, merchandise and events
  • Capture real-time game day content, including occasional photo and video responsibilities
  • Help organize and maintain a digital asset library
  • Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for audience engagement
  • Write social media copy that aligns with the team’s voice and brand standards
  • Light social media graphic design
  • Assist in social posting during both homes and away games

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s in Sports Media (Communications), Sports Management (Business) or equivalent area of study
  • A reliable form of transportation
  • Availability be in-office 2-3 days per week, 4 hours per day (outside of game days, days/hours are flexible)
  • Ability to multitask and maintain strong prioritization and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Extremely coachable and willing to learn every day
  • Ability to work during all Lumberjacks home and road games, including nights and weekends

Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of hockey is preferred but not required
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is ideal, but not required
