Job Description

About Gazette Gal

Gazette Gal is a digital media company inspiring and informing 1M+ women for a well-lived life through smart and stylish content. We deliver a free newsletter 3x/week, a premium deep-dive edition weekly, and publish 8–10 articles per week on our website — covering lifestyle, wellness, travel, and everything in between.

About This Role

We're expanding our team with Digital Media Interns across multiple content areas — editorial writing, social media, CMS, and newsletter production. You'll apply as a generalist, and after shortlisting, our team will match you to the area that best fits your strengths and interests. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow inside a real media brand. The ideal candidate is plugged into trends, has a strong aesthetic eye, understands what makes content worth consuming — and can execute it.

Content Areas

Interns are assigned to one content area based on strengths identified during shortlisting. Areas include:

Editorial (SEO Articles) → 2 articles/week, SEO-optimized, affiliate-integrated

— key skills: Writing, research, keyword strategy, on-brand product sourcing

TikTok → Concept, script, and coordinate short-form video content aligned with trends

— key skills: Trend awareness, scripting, video-sensibility, hooks

Instagram → Feed posts, Reels concepts, Stories, caption writing

— key skills: Visual storytelling, copywriting, platform fluency

Pinterest → Pin creation, board curation, keyword-optimized descriptions

— key skills: Graphic eye, SEO basics, Canva, content planning

CMS Management → Upload, format, and publish articles; manage editorial calendar

— key skills: Attention to detail, Webflow/CMS, fluency, organization

Newsletter Visuals Curate shoppable product roundups and visual assets for weekly sends

• Produce consistent, on-brand content within your assigned area (output expectations set at onboarding)

• Research topics, trends, and audience interests relevant to your vertical

• Source chic, on-brand affiliate products or visual assets where applicable

• Reference the GG Editorial & Brand Style Guide for content

• Present ideas to the co-founder for approval, unless topics are pre-assigned

• Submit work using the appropriate submission checklist before sending for feedback

• Implement feedback accurately on the first revision — minimize back-and-forth

• Attend a virtual team meeting 1x/week

• Contribute to maintaining the long-term editorial and content calendar

• Revisit and update published content on a regular basis

Area-Specific Responsibilities

– 2 publish-ready articles/week minimum

– Conduct keyword research; apply on-page SEO best practices

– Source and properly format images (sizing, alt text, hyperlinking)

– Incorporate affiliate product links naturally

– Upload and format articles in CMS

TikTok:

– Research trending sounds, formats, and topics relevant to GG's audience

– Concept and script short-form video ideas for review

– Coordinate or produce content aligned with the content calendar

Instagram:

– Concept visual content ideas aligned with GG's aesthetic

– Monitor engagement trends and surface insights to the team

Pinterest:

– Create on-brand pins using Canva

– Write keyword-optimized pin titles and descriptions

– Curate and maintain boards relevant to GG's content pillars

CMS Management:

– Upload, format, and publish articles per GG guidelines

– Manage and update the editorial calendar

– Conduct weekly audits of published content for broken links or outdated info

Newsletter Visuals:

– Curate shoppable product roundups for weekly newsletter sends

– Design or source visual assets using Canva

– Ensure all affiliate links are correctly formatted and active

What We're Looking For

• Stable WiFi connection

• Prior content creation experience preferred — portfolio or work samples required to apply

Commitments

• 6-month internship duration

• Content output expectations set at onboarding based on assigned area
