Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, creating, and publishing content across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Capture photo and video content at competitions, fundraising events, athlete training, and special events throughout Pennsylvania.
  • Create engaging short-form video content including Reels, TikToks, athlete spotlights, event recaps, and behind-the-scenes features.
  • Support the development and execution of digital campaigns for major events including Polar Plunge, Fall Festival, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer recruitment efforts.
  • Assist with social media community management by monitoring comments, messages, and audience engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with athletes, coaches, volunteers, Unified partners, and staff to identify compelling stories and content opportunities.
  • Assist with copywriting for social media posts, blogs, email communications, and digital marketing materials.
  • Track and report on social media performance metrics, audience growth, and content engagement trends.
  • Research emerging social media trends, platform updates, and content best practices to help strengthen SOPA’s digital presence.
  • Support the creation of graphics, presentations, promotional materials, and other digital assets as needed.

Requirements

  • 15-20 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends for events.
