Own the production and growth of the church’s digital media program by editing sermons and worship moments, turning long videos into short-form content, managing social media, and developing a cohesive content calendar that increases engagement and online-to-in-person attendance.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Edit Sunday sermons, worship moments, testimonies, announcements, special events, and other church video content.
  • Turn long-form church videos into engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Create promotional videos, event recaps, sermon highlights, and other ministry content.
  • Add captions, music, graphics, transitions, and other creative elements to videos.
  • Create engaging thumbnails and covers for video content.
  • Organize and maintain the church's digital photo and video library.
  • Manage FVM’s social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other approved platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging posts, Reels, Shorts, graphics, announcements, and videos.
  • Repurpose sermons, worship moments, events, and church activities into engaging digital content throughout the week.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media content creation and management.
  • Strong video editing skills.
  • Experience creating Reels, Shorts, and other short-form content.
  • Strong graphic design skills.
  • Experience with Canva and professional editing/design software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, or similar programs.
  • Experience maintaining or updating websites.
  • Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Photography and videography skills.
  • Strong creative judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience creating content for a church, ministry, nonprofit, or faith-based organization is strongly preferred.
