Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Identify and size automation opportunities across digital media planning, trafficking, activation, optimisation and reporting workflows (CTV, YouTube, Paid Social, Audio).
  • Translate pain points and manual / repetitive tasks into clear problem statements and requirements; prioritise a roadmap by impact, effort and risk, aligning with Digital Media Trading & Activation, Media Data & Tech, Data Engineering MLS and AI stakeholders. Lead proofs of concept and pilots (e.g., workflow automation, API integrations, GenAI copilots, reporting and insights automation, standardised dashboards) and coordinate the path from pilot to scaled rollout.
  • Partner with internal platform owners and external vendors to design and rapidly onboard to automation solutions, leveraging existing stacks where possible while considering net-new external solutions as necessary for pace
  • Establish and steward standards for media operations (naming, taxonomies, templates, playbooks) that enable automation, accurate measurement and faster experimentation.
  • Orchestrate user acceptance testing with channel teams; gather feedback, close gaps and ensure solutions meet performance, governance and privacy & legal requirements.
  • Drive adoption and change management by creating documentation, training, hosting demos, and tailor enablement by discipline to embed new ways of working.
  • Define and report success metrics (e.g., time saved, error rate reduction, cycle time, activation lead times); maintain an adoption scorecard and communicate progress to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain an initiatives backlog, delivery plan and risks/assumptions; keep stakeholders informed on timelines and dependencies via regular cadences.
  • Ensure solutions comply with Expedia Group policies and regional regulations (e.g., data privacy, brand safety, security) and align with existing measurement frameworks.

Requirements

  • Media operations or digital media background (agency or in-house) with hands-on exposure to activation and reporting workflows across brand channels such as CTV, YouTube, Paid Social, and Audio.
  • Demonstrated experience improving marketing workflows through automation (e.g., trafficking, bulk uploads, creative/versioning, pacing/QA, reporting), including running pilots and scaling adoption.
  • Working knowledge of relevant buying platforms and measurement tools (e.g. The Trade Desk, Google Ads, social ads management platforms, and BI/visualisation such as Looker/Tableau/Power BI).
  • Experience in prompt design and agent development/deployment for AI copilots, basics of SQL or Python for prototyping, and experience in large, matrixed, global organisations.
  • Familiarity with automation approaches (e.g., APIs, bulk editors, workflow/orchestration tools) and emerging GenAI use cases for media teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to translate between business needs and technical requirements and to influence cross-functional- teams.
  • Comfort with data structures, taxonomies and naming conventions that enable reliable reporting and experimentation; ability to write clear requirements and acceptance criteria
