Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and publish short-form and long-form video content
• Manage and grow our YouTube and Instagram presence
• Turn tax, financial, business, and investment topics into interesting, easy-to-understand content
• Create YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, social posts, graphics, and educational videos
• Take existing videos and turn them into multiple pieces of short-form content
• Develop attention-grabbing hooks, titles, thumbnails, captions, and calls to action
• Create a consistent content calendar and posting schedule
• Help develop ideas for videos, interviews, educational series, FAQs, and trending topics
• Record and/or assist with recording content when appropriate
• Edit video and audio to create professional, polished content

Requirements

• Has experience creating content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or similar platforms
• Understands short-form video and what makes people stop scrolling
• Has strong video-editing skills
• Understands YouTube titles, thumbnails, SEO, retention, and audience growth
• Can take a complicated subject and make it simple and interesting
• Is comfortable suggesting new ideas instead of waiting to be told exactly what to do
• Understands branding and can maintain a professional but approachable image
• Can work independently and consistently meet deadlines
• Pays attention to analytics and adjusts content based on results
• Is comfortable using AI and modern content-creation tools to work faster and produce more content

Preferred

• Experience in marketing (it helps if you know tax, accounting, financial services, investments, legal, insurance, real estate, or other professional services but NOT required). The last person had experience in Karate.
