Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, digital media, information science, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in content strategy, content management, digital communications, or UX writing, ideally in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience managing content within a content management system (CMS) at scale

  • Experience with SEO/AIO fundamentals and using web analytics tools to inform content decisions

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills — this role touches designers, developers, subject matter experts, and content owners constantly, so this isn’t optional

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Familiarity with AI discoverability / generative search optimization practices
  • Experience with information architecture and content strategy for large, multi-owner websites (thousands of pages, many contributors)
  • Familiarity with enterprise CMS platforms
  • Experience building or maintaining documentation, style guides, or governance playbooks used by non-specialist staff
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Experience with alumni/graduate outcomes content or recruitment-focused digital experiences specifically
