Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and optimize marketing and communications campaigns and automated lifecycle journeys, focused on awareness, engagement, adoption, and ambassador.
  • Align lifecycle milestones with programmatic enrollment goals
  • Own execution for key lifecycle moments, including onboarding and welcome journeys; Engagement, reactivation, and lapsed-user journeys
  • Oversee monthly promotional and seasonal campaigns
  • Plan and execute A/B testing across subject lines, design elements, send times, CTAs, and other variables to optimize performance
  • Help lead post-enrollment and cross-sell financial products
  • Create and maintain ISTO segmentation tailored for each constituency and program
  • Implement dynamic content and personalization using ISTO customer relationship and digital communication platforms, including using engagement data to increase program awareness and adoptions
  • Analyze performance, document learnings, and recommend optimizations that improve revenue and lifecycle efficiency
  • Act as a first-line troubleshooter for campaign, automation, and data issues that impact deliverability, by using search engine related tools
  • Monitor list health, engagement, and inbox placement using tools such as Validity / Everest
  • Apply best practices for suppression, frequency management, and engagement-based targeting to protect revenue and sender reputation
  • Partner with internal teams to diagnose and resolve deliverability, data, or rendering issues
  • API & Technical Collaboration – coordinate with Marketing, IT, and Data teams
  • Understand how events, profiles, and attributes influence segmentation, automation, and engagement
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Data, Creative, Technology, and Programs
  • Participate in planning sessions, campaign reviews, and performance discussions
  • Communicate clearly about engagement and optimization opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in email marketing, preferable consumer products, higher education, or government
  • experience in driving engagement and enrollment through email campaigns and marketing automation programs
  • OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and the ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license, the ability to travel, as well as the flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, with some overnights required
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and walk for at least an hour
  • Strong working knowledge of email marketing strategy, production, automation, deliverability and analytics
  • Experience supporting the optimization of digital tools such as landing pages and application forms to improve conversion and user experience
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to explain recommendations using data and best practices
  • Experience working with external agencies and cross-functional partners
  • Hands-on experience with marketing and customer relationship tools, including automation, journeys, and personalization tools
  • Proficiency in HTML, and responsive design
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and evolving strategies to drive growth
