Job Description

Customer Service That Happens Face-to-Face

We are seeking a personable and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our growing events and customer-engagement team.

This is not a traditional desk-based, call-center, or remote customer service position.

Instead of spending the day answering phones, responding to support tickets, or communicating through a computer screen, you will work directly with real customers at live events, retail environments, promotional campaigns, and community-based activations.

You will represent established client brands, speak with customers face-to-face, answer questions, explain available products and services, and help create a positive and memorable customer experience.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, staying active, and working in an energetic environment where no two customer conversations are exactly the same.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

Most customer service positions place employees behind a desk or headset. Our Customer Service Representatives work where the customers are. You will gain practical experience communicating with people from different backgrounds, resolving questions in real time, representing recognizable brands, and helping customers make informed decisions.

This is a people-focused position built around genuine human interaction. You will not be reading from a script all day or managing an endless queue of online support requests. You will be expected to listen, think, communicate clearly, and provide each customer with a professional and personalized experience. From your first day, you will receive structured training, ongoing coaching, and hands-on support to help you develop confidence in customer communication, product knowledge, problem-solving, and brand representation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent client brands professionally at live events, retail locations, and promotional campaigns
  • Welcome and engage customers in a friendly and approachable manner
  • Speak with customers face-to-face to understand their questions and needs
  • Provide accurate information about products, services, promotions, and account options
  • Explain information clearly without using unnecessary technical language
  • Assist customers in selecting options that are appropriate for their needs
  • Respond to questions, concerns, and objections with patience and professionalism
  • Help create a positive and organized customer experience at each event
  • Maintain a strong understanding of client products and campaign information
  • Complete customer documentation and enrollment information accurately
  • Work alongside event and campaign teams to achieve customer-experience objectives
  • Participate in daily training, workshops, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Communicate recurring customer feedback to leadership
  • Assist with event preparation, customer-flow organization, and brand presentation
  • Support the onboarding and development of newer team members as experience grows

This Is an Active, In-Person Role

Customer Service Representatives should expect to spend much of the working day interacting directly with customers.

This position may involve:

  • Working at live events, retail venues, and promotional locations
  • Standing and walking throughout the day
  • Moving between different event areas or customer-engagement stations
  • Speaking with a high volume of customers
  • Working alongside a team in busy, public environments
  • Adjusting communication styles for different customers and situations
  • Maintaining professionalism during fast-paced periods

Candidates should be comfortable working outside of a traditional office setting and communicating with new people regularly.

What Success Looks Like

Successful Customer Service Representatives are attentive, composed, and genuinely interested in helping people.

You will perform well in this position if you:

  • Enjoy speaking with people in person
  • Listen carefully before offering a solution
  • Remain patient when customers have questions or concerns
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Maintain a positive attitude in busy environments
  • Take ownership of the customer experience
  • Respond well to coaching and feedback
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Arrive prepared, reliable, and ready to contribute
  • Represent the company and its clients with professionalism

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with customers
  • Ability to listen actively and explain information clearly
  • Strong problem-solving and customer-care skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized
  • Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and apply coaching
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and working in active event environments
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, events, sales, or public-facing work is beneficial but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College education is welcomed but not required

What We Offer

  • Structured onboarding and customer-service training
  • Hands-on product and brand education
  • Ongoing coaching from experienced team leaders
  • Experience working at live events and customer-facing campaigns
  • Opportunities to develop communication and leadership skills
  • Performance recognition and advancement opportunities
  • Travel and networking opportunities
  • A collaborative and people-focused team environment
  • Exposure to established brands and customer-acquisition campaigns
  • Transferable experience in customer service, events, marketing, sales, and business
  • Opportunities to take on additional responsibility based on performance

Career Development

This position provides more than customer-service experience.

Representatives develop practical skills in:

  • Professional communication
  • Conflict resolution
  • Customer needs assessment
  • Event coordination
  • Brand representation
  • Product education
  • Team collaboration
  • Leadership and training
  • Campaign operations

Customer Service Representatives who consistently demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and leadership potential may progress into positions such as:

  • Account Executive

  • Assistant Management
  • Campaign Management

Advancement is based on performance, consistency, professionalism, and the ability to positively support customers and team members.

Who This Role Is For

  • Recent graduates beginning their professional careers
  • Hospitality, restaurant, or retail professionals
  • Customer-service professionals looking for a more active role
  • Individuals interested in events, marketing, brand engagement, or leadership
  • Candidates who are confident, coachable, and comfortable working with the public

This is not a remote customer-support, administrative, or call-center position.

It may not be suitable for someone seeking:

  • A role spent primarily behind a desk
  • Minimal interaction with customers
  • Phone-only or email-only customer support
  • A quiet or isolated work environment
  • A position with little movement or public engagement

This role requires energy, professionalism, adaptability, and a genuine willingness to work directly with real people.
