Job Description

Responsibilities

Design and prioritize A/B tests across Shopify storefronts – from product and collection pages to checkout, landing pages, and cart flows
Translate customer insights and heuristic findings into structured test hypotheses, then write clear briefs for our Shopify dev team, who handle implementation
Analyze test results and extract actionable learnings that feed back into the next iteration and our internal best-practice library
Build a repeatable CRO process tailored to Shopify: Research → Hypotheses → Tests → Learnings → Rollout
Run data analysis using GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, and Shopify Analytics
Conduct heuristic audits of Shopify product, collection, and checkout pages – with a sharp eye for Shopify-specific friction points (variant pickers, add-to-cart flows, payment method visibility, upsells)
Work closely with Design, Development, Copy, and Performance Marketing
Report insights directly to leadership and clients
Important: You won’t be coding yourself – you’ll work closely with our Shopify dev team, who implement your tests. Your job is strategy, conception, and analysis.

Requirements

3+ years of CRO experience in a D2C or e-commerce environment
Hands-on experience with A/B testing tools like Intelligems, Visually.io, Convert, VWO, or similar – ideally with at least one tool that integrates natively with Shopify
Solid understanding of Shopify Plus – product and collection page structure, theme architecture, checkout extensibility, metafields, and what’s realistically feasible without a full rebuild
You know the difference between what works in Shopify and what’s a developer nightmare
Confident with GA4, heatmaps, session recordings, and customer research
Structured, hypothesis-driven mindset
Ability to write clear test briefs for developers
Excellent English; German is a strong plus
Experience in regulated verticals, DTC brands, or with Klaviyo, Performance Ads, and DTC-style copywriting
