Job Summary

Own the paid creative lifecycle for UA campaigns, translating romance content trends into scalable ad concepts and performance tests.

  • Lead creative strategy and end-to-end production for paid channels
  • Align creative with funnel signals to move CAC and LTV

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Read books and watch series to extract key USPs and pivotal story elements; synthesize them into punchy hooks and paid ad creative briefs engineered to drive conversion across paid channels
  • Write compelling ad copy and hooks for paid social, distilling a full story into a two sentence scroll stopper optimized for performance
  • Own the paid creative production lifecycle for UA campaigns: conceive performance driven angles, brief designers, manage tickets end to end, and iterate based on UA feedback and ROAS/conversion data
  • Embed within the UA team to align creative with funnel signals, translating what's working in paid channels into new angles, formats, and tests that move CAC and LTV
  • Stay deeply plugged into BookTok, Bookstagram, and Reddit to identify trending formats and hooks before they peak, then translate them into paid ad concepts
  • Experiment with AI video tools and image editing to independently build and iterate on performance assets
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of paid creatives aligned to key marketing beats, evergreen campaigns, and UA testing roadmaps
  • Manage external production partners for more complex creative executions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in creative strategy or content marketing specifically in support of paid UA or performance marketing, ideally in a fast moving startup
  • Exceptional copywriting skills built for paid social. You can write a hook that stops the scroll and a two sentence synopsis that sells a 400 page book
  • A genuine love of romance: books, movies, TV. You're the person who actually wants to read this content all day
  • Active presence on BookTok, Bookstagram, or romance reading communities. You know what's trending, what's tropes are having a moment, and what's coming next
  • Strong analytical instincts: comfortable in Google Sheets/Excel, fluent in performance metrics, and able to connect creative decisions to paid channel outcomes
  • Hands on experience working alongside a paid/UA team with a solid understanding of full funnel marketing and how creative impacts conversion
  • Proficiency with creative tools: CapCut, Premiere Pro, image editing, and AI video tools
  • A bias toward action. You move fast, learn fast, and don't wait for a perfect brief to get started
