Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Define and own Comfy’s creative identity for go-to-market — build a unified visual language across video, web, events, and campaigns
  • Translate ComfyUI’s technical power into emotionally resonant stories for artists, developers, and enterprise audiences
  • Own the creative brief process: concept, art direction, production, and final delivery across all channels
  • Partner directly with founders, product, and design to shape Comfy’s narrative and how it shows up to the world
  • Use ComfyUI daily as your primary creative production environment — building custom workflows for image, video, 3D, and motion output
  • Lead from the middle - Stay at the bleeding edge of new models, nodes, and techniques — test, adopt and evangelize new models, nodes, and techniques in ComfyUI
  • Prototype and share workflows with the wider Comfy community; model what “creative director as power user” looks like in public
  • Lead a team of designers, contractors and agencies
  • Amplify the ComfyUI creator ecosystem — identifying, spotlighting, and building creative loops around our most talented community members
  • Run creative reviews with high standards and constructive precision; keep quality bars high under tight timelines
  • Own the end-to-end creative execution for product launches
  • Create campaigns that resonate with a multi-layered audience: artists, filmmakers, developers, VFX studios, and enterprise teams
  • Develop showcase content that demonstrates how Comfy is adopted in real-world creative work
  • Collaborate with marketing and community to build campaigns that generate cultural momentum

Requirements

  • You have shipped work in ComfyUI — real workflows, real output — and can speak to the craft with specificity
  • You have led creative teams as a Creative Director, Art Director, or Head of Creative at a recognizable company or studio
  • Your portfolio shows brand systems with multi-touch consistency and inventive storytelling across multiple formats: video, web, campaigns, brand identity, and motion
  • You have a strong point of view on visual aesthetics and can translate that into direction others can execute on
  • You are fluent in the broader AI content production pipeline: diffusion models, LoRA, ControlNet, video generation, and emerging tooling
  • You are proficient in professional creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent)
  • You thrive in a small, fast-moving team where everyone does a bit of everything — no waiting for approval, no playing it safe
  • You are highly organized, proactive, and can inspire and motivate collaborators under tight deadlines
