  • Develop copy for LinkedIn, social posts, emails, and blogs

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write and structure all copy for Groh Playrooms' new website build, working alongside the designer/developer building the site
  • Own and update website copy on an ongoing basis as content, offerings, and pages evolve
  • Build and maintain Groh Playrooms' Substack newsletter, including establishing its format and cadence, and writing and publishing regular content
  • Write copy for LinkedIn and social posts across platforms
  • Write and manage copy for email campaigns and sequences
  • Write blog posts that support our brand voice and SEO presence
  • Develop copy for marketing collateral: print and digital assets alike
  • Write copy for downloadable resources (guides, checklists, and similar assets)
  • Co-own our voice and tone/usage guidelines with the Director of Marketing, and keep them updated as our voice develops
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across every channel and format

Requirements

  • A strong writing portfolio spanning multiple formats: web, email, social, and long-form
  • Demonstrated experience writing both short, performance-based copy and long-form copy
  • Understanding of how to write for each platform’s audience: what works on Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok, and how voice, format, and hooks change between them
  • Ability to read performance data and act on them, including A/B testing, to adjust copy and strategy.
  • Experience writing and structuring copy for a website, ideally alongside a designer or developer handling the build
  • Comfort updating content directly in a website CMS (e.g., Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, WordPress) for ongoing maintenance
  • Comfort managing multiple channels and content types at once without losing consistency
  • A sharp sense of brand voice, and the discipline to keep it consistent across formats
  • Self-directed, deadline-driven work habits

Preferred

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo or similar)
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices for web and blog content
  • Experience writing for a children's, luxury, or lifestyle brand
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) to support collateral production

Benefits

  • Real ownership over the brand's voice and website, from buildout through day-to-day upkeep
  • A tight-knit team that builds close relationships — with each other and with the families we design for
  • A studio driven by the next generation — kids are who we design for, and their sense of wonder shapes everything we make
  • Work that stays genuinely fun: you'll spend your days surrounded by color, materials, and rooms built for imagination
  • Health benefits, PTO, and 401(k): details shared during the interview process

Groh Playrooms

Groh is a play-focused design studio creating everyday magic for kids and the grown-ups who love them.Female-founded by two educators with 20+ years in the classroom, Groh was built on a simple observation: parents are stuck choosing between the cluttered plastic their kids want and the overpriced minimalism their interior designers want. There's a third option, and it's the one we design for.Every choice we make is rooted in child development. Shelf heights, material selections, layouts, products: all of it is grounded in how children build confidence, practice self-regulation, and direct their own discovery. The point isn't more stuff; it's an environment that invites kids to take risks, use their imaginations, and figure things out on their own. Less passive consumption, more active learning.Groh Studio designs playrooms, nurseries, bedrooms, and shared family spaces for residential and commercial clients, with bespoke and fast-turnaround service tiers. Our work includes projects built around children with sensory processing differences and other developmental needs.Groh Shop curates the pieces that bring developmental play into any home, with concierge service for families who want expert eyes on their space. We're working to change the way the world plays.
