Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for a variety of marketing channels, including email, SMS, advertising, social media, websites, direct mail, print collateral, signage, video scripts, and other marketing materials.
  • Develop messaging that is clear, compelling, and aligned with organizational priorities, brand standards, and donor engagement objectives. Maintain a consistent tone of voice across all marketing communications while adapting messaging to different audiences, channels, and campaign goals.
  • Partner with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to develop integrated marketing campaigns from concept through execution.
  • Write compelling, audience-focused email copy that informs, engages, and inspires action.
  • Develop high-performing subject lines, preview text, headlines, and calls to action.
  • Produce timely content for both planned campaigns and urgent operational communications, including critical blood inventory appeals.
  • Review and edit marketing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with applicable policies and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the evolution of messaging standards and brand voice.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional copywriting experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience developing content across multiple marketing channels, including email and text marketing, digital, and print.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams along with email and text outreach teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the requirements above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.
