Content Write - Remote Opportunity

Responsibilities

• - Develop, write, and proofread targeted, faith-centered marketing and storytelling content for print and digital platforms, completing at least three directed assignments per week with drafts due on Fridays.
• - Research and produce strategic marketing content that meets quality standards and follows brand identity, messaging, and style guidelines.
• - Communicate the strategic and thematic objectives behind written content to team members and internal stakeholders.
• - Select relevant photographs and supporting materials to strengthen written content and collaborate with graphic designers to develop effective marketing materials.
• - Interview ministry partners and beneficiaries to gather human-interest stories, documenting interviews and field notes for use as organizational references while treating interview subjects with integrity, respect, and care.
• - Build a strong understanding of the organization's programs and the communities it serves through team meetings, program discussions, field visits, and independent research.
• - Stay informed about developments and trends in communications, fundraising, and marketing.
• - Work cross-functionally with internal departments to support fundraising and development initiatives.

Requirements

• - At least three years of professional writing experience or experience writing within a marketing agency.
• - Experience creating promotional or marketing copy.
• - Experience writing for digital and web audiences.
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar and proofreading abilities.
• - Knowledge of or familiarity with Catholic Church teachings and values.
• - Ability to incorporate Catholic, biblical, and spiritual themes into compelling content across print, digital, and social media platforms.
• - Understanding of how to create persuasive content that motivates audiences to take specific actions.
• - Strong research skills and the ability to gather, synthesize, and communicate information from multiple sources.
• - Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet strict deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Preferred

• - Working knowledge of SEO strategies, practices, and digital writing techniques.
• - Intermediate proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or French.
• - Ability to work effectively in a faith-centered environment, participate in daily staff devotions, and support Christ-centered relief and development initiatives.
