Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Editorial Planning: Develops and executes an integrated content strategy that strengthens Versiti’s corporate reputation, supports philanthropic engagement, and advances key organizational priorities.
  • Creates editorial frameworks and storytelling approaches that connect Versiti’s mission to diverse audiences including donors, partners, community stakeholders, and philanthropic supporters.
  • Collaborates with the Sr. Manager, Media and Public Relations and the strategic communications team to align content initiatives with enterprise communications strategies, campaigns, and major organizational milestones.
  • Ensures consistent messaging, voice, and narrative alignment across corporate and foundation communications.
  • Storytelling & Multimedia Content Creation: Develops compelling content across a wide range of formats, including: Feature stories, Web and blog content, Executive messaging and thought leadership, Donor and community impact stories, Email newsletters and campaign content, Annual reports and institutional publications, Social and digital storytelling, Multimedia content in partnership with creative teams, Translates complex scientific, medical, and philanthropic topics into clear, engaging narratives accessible to broad audiences.
  • Ensures content reflects Versiti’s mission, values, and brand voice while motivating engagement and action.
  • Digital & Social Media Optimization: Optimize content for digital platforms, ensuring best practices for SEO, social media engagement, email marketing, and donor communications.
  • Develop content strategies that maximize audience reach and engagement, leveraging platform-specific storytelling approaches.
  • Monitor emerging trends and technologies to continuously enhance digital content performance.
  • Content Performance and Audience Insights: Uses analytics and engagement metrics to evaluate content performance across channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field required
  • 4-6 years Experience in content strategy, writing, or editorial development, preferably within nonprofit, research, philanthropy, or corporate brand storytelling environments required
  • 1-3 years Proven experience in developing and executing multi-channel content strategies that drive audience engagement required
  • 1-3 years Strong background in storytelling, content marketing, and brand messaging with an emphasis on digital platforms required
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing storytelling across digital and print platforms required
  • Proficiency in SEO, content marketing, and digital engagement strategies required
  • Ability to translate technical and scientific contentinto compelling, accessible narratives for diverse audiences required
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and social media tools is a plus required
