SummaryThis position supports the creation and optimization of content for digital products and experiences. The Content Designer partners with cross-functional teams to develop user-centered content that aligns with brand standards, accessibility requirements, and business objectives. This role contributes to content strategy, content design practices, and larger initiatives while helping create clear, consistent, and engaging user experiences across digital platforms. The ideal candidate has experience in content design, UX writing, or content strategy and demonstrates strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities

Audit, analyze, structure, create, and present content with minimal supervision.
Develop content for digital products and user experiences that support business goals and user needs.
Focus on content within the presentation layer and user-facing experiences.
Follow established brand standards, style guides, and design system conventions.
Ensure content maintains a consistent voice and tone across assigned product areas.
Apply accessibility, inclusion, readability, and localization standards when creating and updating content.
Structure content appropriately to address user needs and business challenges.
Design content solutions within technical constraints of systems, applications, pages, and interface elements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve user problems through effective content design.
Contribute to content standards, best practices, and governance initiatives.
Evaluate the impact of content decisions across product experiences, workflows, and systems.
Support scalable content strategies through modular design, localization, reuse, and content frameworks.
Apply user-centered research findings and recommendations to content decisions.
Identify themes, opportunities, and solutions based on user needs, behaviors, and challenges.
Incorporate user feedback into content improvements and refinements.
Clearly communicate content decisions and rationale to stakeholders and project teams.
Collect, evaluate, and act on feedback to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.
Leverage project metrics, user feedback, and testing insights when developing or recommending content solutions.
Identify opportunities for content testing, including usability studies and A/B testing initiatives.
Participate in heuristic evaluations and content reviews to identify and resolve content-related issues.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design, English, Communications, Journalism, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer, Content Strategist, or in a related role.
2-4 years of related professional experience creating content for digital products and user experiences.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop user-centered content solutions.

Required Skills

Strong content writing, editing, and information architecture skills.
Knowledge of digital content design principles and UX writing best practices.
Ability to structure and organize content effectively for diverse audiences and user needs.
Understanding of accessibility, readability, inclusivity, and localization standards.
Ability to create content solutions within technical and design constraints.
Strong communication, presentation, storytelling, and facilitation skills.
Ability to interpret and apply research findings and user insights.
Experience incorporating feedback into content development and refinement.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to understand content dependencies across product experiences and systems.
Knowledge of scalable content practices, including modular content and reuse strategies.
Ability to leverage metrics, test data, and user feedback to inform content decisions.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience conducting or supporting content testing, usability studies, or A/B testing initiatives.
Experience participating in heuristic evaluations and content quality reviews.
Knowledge of content operations, governance, and content standardization practices.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to large-scale content initiatives and process improvements.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $52.00 - $58.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
