Job Summary

Drive social and content output for a nonprofit AI hub in Austin, building a steady 3-5 posts/week and biweekly blogs/newsletters.

  • Own the content calendar and publish 3–5 posts weekly across X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
  • Must-have: strong writing and ability to tailor tone for multiple platforms
  • Standout: ground-floor internship at a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with mentorship and event access

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Create and schedule 3-5 social media posts per week across X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram
  • Write blog post drafts (biweekly) on topics like AI education, event recaps, and community spotlights
  • Build and send the Austin AI Hub newsletter (frequency TBD, likely biweekly or monthly)
  • Create post-event content: photo recaps, quote cards, highlight threads from workshops and networking events
  • Monitor and engage with the community on Slack, social media comments, and Reddit
  • Track content performance and share insights on what is working
  • Collaborate with the Design Intern on visual assets for posts and campaigns
Requirements
  • Strong writing skills: you can write clearly and adapt tone for different platforms
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (especially X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube)
  • Self-starter who can manage a content calendar and meet deadlines independently
  • Interest in AI, technology, or nonprofit work (you do not need to be technical)
  • Must be able to commit to a consistent posting schedule throughout the internship
Preferred
  • Bonus: experience with newsletter tools (Brevo, Mailchimp), Canva, or basic analytics
