Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and post evergreen content, including operator reviews as directed by the Content Lead.
• Maintain a strong understanding of brand guidelines and specific vertical requirements (ex. Casino or sports).
• Adhere to content requirements for compliance, particularly when writing about partner operators. Ensure all content meets legal and regulatory standards.
• Implement SEO best practices in all content, including keyword integration, meta descriptions, and optimized headlines, to improve search visibility and engagement.
• Utilize the content management system efficiently to create, edit, and publish content. Troubleshoot any CMS-related issues and ensure content is correctly formatted and presented.
• Leverage AI tools, such as Claude, and workflow automations to accelerate research, drafting, editing, and SEO optimization, while ensuring all AI-assisted output is fact-checked, brand-aligned, and compliant prior to publishing.
• Assign and manage work with freelance writers, providing clear briefs, feedback, and quality control, while determining which assignments require human authorship or subject-matter expertise versus those suited to AI-augmented workflows.
• Follow content briefs provided by the SEO team to update and optimize pages. Also produce content briefs as needed.
• Produce high-quality content at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail. Meet deadlines consistently and manage workload effectively to balance content assignments.
• Build and edit webpages with a UX-first mindset.

Requirements

• A Content Editor must have a minimum of three years of experience in web editing, writing, and publishing, and a two- or four-year college degree.
• Other qualifications include:
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including knowledge of AP style.
• Comfortable writing and editing under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong eye for page layout and on-page user experience.
• Past experience writing for the gaming industry and sports betting or online casino is preferred.
• Experience working in WordPress is preferred.
• Proficiency with, or strong willingness to learn, AI writing and editing tools (e.g., Claude) and content automation platforms to improve speed and quality of output.
• Experience assigning, briefing, and reviewing work from freelance writers, with sound judgment for when tasks require human authorship or subject-matter expertise versus when AI-augmented approaches are appropriate.
