Responsibilities

• The Content Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for shaping and leading Roarke Regenerative’s content vision across all platforms.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the content calendar, guiding content development for web, email, social media, and campaigns, and ensuring consistent messaging and tone.
• The Content Director will collaborate with leadership, program teams, and external partners to translate complex environmental efforts into clear, compelling stories and educational materials.
• This role also involves overseeing content performance analytics, optimizing content for audience growth and donor engagement, and mentoring contributors to uphold high editorial standards.

Requirements

• Ability to develop and lead comprehensive Content Strategy that supports brand positioning, fundraising goals, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong Writing and Content Development skills, including storytelling, editorial planning, and adapting content for multiple audiences and channels.
• Experience with Content Management systems and workflows, including organizing assets, maintaining content libraries, and coordinating cross-functional input.
• Knowledge of Content Marketing practices, including audience segmentation, campaign planning, and measurement of content performance.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide and mentor writers, editors, and creative partners.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, mission-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

• Background or strong interest in environmental sustainability, conservation, climate action, or nonprofit work is highly beneficial.
