Responsibilities

• planning, writing, and refining digital and learning-focused content that supports Roarke’s mission and programs.
• Day-to-day tasks include creating educational materials, web copy, and documentation; translating complex environmental and scientific concepts into accessible, engaging narratives; and collaborating with program, fundraising, and communications teams to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
• developing content for online courses, presentations, reports, and outreach campaigns, as well as maintaining content libraries and style guidelines.
• This is a full-time remote role, requiring the ability to work effectively across time zones and communicate clearly with a distributed team.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess strong Writing, Technical Writing, and Content Development skills.
• Candidates should possess Instructional Design skills for creating structured, learner-focused materials.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Candidates should ideally have experience with digital content tools, learning management systems, or documentation platforms.
• Relevant experience in environmental science, sustainability, nonprofit work, or a related field is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Environmental Studies, English, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
