Produce and edit event-focused video and photo content for fair coverage with on-site shooting and social publishing.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Film on-site interviews with vendors, performers, staff, and attendees.
  • Shoot B-roll at events, behind-the-scenes prep, and daily fairground activity.
  • Edit short-form videos (15–90s) with captions, music, and basic motion graphics.
  • Produce photo assets and simple graphics for social and web use.
  • Help plan content ideas and a publishing schedule tied to upcoming events.
  • Support live social coverage (stories, short clips) during events.
  • Work with staff to ensure messaging aligns with fairground branding and community goals.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from communications, media, film, marketing, journalism, or related program.
  • Proficient in video editing
  • Comfortable recording and troubleshooting basic audio
  • Understanding of social platform formats and best practices.
  • Strong storytelling instincts, organization, and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Portfolio or links to sample video/photo work required.
  • Hours: Flexible hours, remote work option available. Likely 40+ hours per week starting July 6 with 40+ hours the week of Fair.
  • Must be available August 1-8, 2026 during Fair week.
