Community Outreach Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Represent Tunnel Vision at local community events, festivals, school functions, and outreach opportunities.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down our event booth, displays, and materials.
• Engage with parents and families, introduce our programs, and answer general questions.
• Help students participate in interactive activities at our booths.
• Share information about our academic support, mentorship, leadership, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage interested families to learn more about Tunnel Vision and complete interest forms.
• Collect and organize contact information from interested families using our approved forms and procedures.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional presence throughout events.
• Communicate with the Tunnel Vision team before and after events regarding preparation, attendance, and potential leads.
• Attend certain events independently once properly trained and comfortable with our programs.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations with new people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoys working with children, teenagers, and families.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable representing a business in public.
• Available for occasional Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
• Able to travel to local events throughout Katy and surrounding areas.
• Comfortable standing and walking for several hours and helping with light event setup.

Preferred

• Previous experience in community outreach, customer service, event staffing, marketing, education, or youth programs.
• College students studying education, marketing, communications, business, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with children or families.
• Familiarity with the Katy/Houston community.
