Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content across social media platforms via a social media scheduler (ContentStudio)
  • Monitor social channels and support audience engagement in a professional, community-centered voice
  • Research emerging social media trends, tools, and platforms to enhance outreach and engagement
  • Identify innovative ways to expand awareness of services, programs, and community partnerships
  • Support development of content calendars aligned with campaigns, observances, and organizational priorities
  • Track and analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Assist in capturing and creating visual content (graphics, photos, short-form video) that reflects our mission
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to help tell member-driven stories

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to tone and audience
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and a curiosity for digital trends
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and community impact
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred

  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic video editing skills (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut)
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools
  • Interest in behavioral health, public health, or community-based work
